Imagine

Imagine
that you are living the moment
in which everything starts to change
and you stand watching
and you notice
nothing.

Clouds run away from each other
breeze ruffles your shirt,
thoughts bounce around
and you breathe
and breathe
and breathe again.

Stars look down at you
while the sunlight whispers secrets of the night
and the sky blushes red purple yellow pink
and you smile
and smile
and smile again.

Lands drown under the ocean,
plastic islands grow with consumption
forests burn continuously
and it’s fire
and fire
and fire again.

Animals die out,
while the plants disappear from the dry surface
and the sky turns gray black gray black
and you don’t act
and don’t act
and don’t act again.
